Anyone who knows me is aware of my current obsession; PODCASTS. I literally have about 30 at any given time that I am actively listening to, of all topics. This may turn into a series here folks, because I have various categories and loves for these genius forms of media, and there’s never an end to my recommendations and advocacy. Here I dig into my top 3 blogger podcasts, also perfect for female entrepreneurs and creatives, because- hello! I want to help my fellow hustling ladies in any way I can.
- Lauryn Evarts is GOALS. She is gorgeous, charismatic, real and a multi-faceted business owner. Her brand, The Skinny Confidential, extends not only to her blog and social channels, but also to her book, a fitness and nutrition plan, her podcast and app. TSC is the epitome of blogger podcasts, because it is ran by a true OG blogger. The thing I love most about Lauryn is her willingness to share all the gritty details of her hustle, her honesty about things we want to discuss (ie: vaginas, botox, shaving your face, etc.) and her husband is there to support her and laugh along with the real and sometimes cringey discussions. The Skinny Confidential podcast has hilarious discussions, guest speakers and interviews with other entrepreneurs, lots of wellness insight, blogging tips and wedding realness. I also really appreciate Lauryn’s engagement with her audience, ie: she ALWAYS responds to me when I tag her in something. That speaks volumes about her as an influencer and business owner. Here are my top 3 episodes:
How to work with Instagram, Reaching out to brands, and can women make the first move – Ep 17
Networking, Boob Jobs, Moving in together, and Finding your Passion, #askhimandher – Episode 6
I WANT HER JOB ft. The Skinny Confidential – Ep 62
2. I know I have mentioned this in a previous post, but this is the first true “Boss Girl” podcast I listened to. Taylor Bradford of Pink Heels Pink Truck is the host, and she consistently delivers insightful and helpful information surrounding blogging specifically. I appreciate her even tone of conversation, direct and conducive facts and interesting opinions and topics. She even touches on the legal side of blogging and influencing (it really is important guys!) in an informative and educational way that won’t put you to sleep. Boss Girl Creative also has a facebook community, and Taylor does Facebook lives with Q&A’s, analyzing blogs and giving feedback, as well as collaborative resource sharing tips and tricks with each other. She has 99 episodes and counting, here are my top 3:
3. “Every week we interview top female entrepreneurs across the country who are doing it their way. These women have gone out, taken risks and done it their way.” Amanda Boelyn is the host, and there is just something so calming about her voice. She makes me listen with intent, speaks from a place of experience, sharing an informative and realistic point of view along the way. She has built a great community of like-minded entrepreneurs and creatives, and interviews truly interesting and inspiring guests on the show. Amanda talks a lot about money management, mental and physical wellness, as well as her goals and to-do lists for her business. I also love all the resources they discuss on SDHW and book recommendations galore! My top 3 episodes are:
